This is a fairly easy baby quilt I made using scraps. I like how the design turned out.

Supplies:
- fabric scraps
- thread
- scissors
- pins
- sewing machine
- batting
- large piece of fabric for backing
- yarn
Steps:
- Use coordinating fabric scraps for the following steps. Cut out large squares. I did 9 inch squares for this quilt and made it 6 squares across by 8 squares down. Cut out 3 inch squares for the corners, two per large square. Lay out your design. Take a picture of the design for easy reference.
- Pin smaller squares in opposite corners of larger squares. Sew diagonally from one corner to the other. Trim half of the square using scissors and about a 1/4 inch seam. Press all squares. Begin sewing the rows together, going across the width of the quilt. Then, sew each row together until quilt is complete.
- Lay the pressed quilt top onto backing fabric, cut to about 2 inches wider and longer than the quilt top, with a layer of batting in between. Pin with safety pins into place. Tie yarn knots onto corners.
- Fold up excess backing fabric twice to form a hem around the quilt. Pin. Sew them by machine.
