I am going insane! As of three weeks ago I've suddenly been getting bit by these bugs, mostly at night but sometimes during the day. Over the course of the three weeks, I've only seen maybe 5-7 of them. When I first noticed I was getting bit, I immediately washed all my clothes and bedding. The bites would still appear but I didn't see them again until yesterday.
I've been to two doctors, neither of which could identify the bites and prescribed me steroids. When I see them, they usually jump away but when I do touch them they're very hard and can't be crushed.
This does not look like a bed bug but instead, it looks like a flea beetle. They are a lot of times mistaken for fleas because they can jump like a flea but they are much larger than fleas. The other bug that looks like this and has the same type of bites is called a Conenose (or kissing) bugs. They normally come out at night to feed on the blood of humans.
The picture of the bug is a FLEA. Either you have a pet or if a rental, the previous people had a pet. Fleas can be a terrible nuisance, not only to you, but to your pets. If you have any animals, they need to be treated for fleas. I use Frontline on my cats. When first applied -a small tube of an oily substance you put on the back of the pet's neck- it starts killing the fleas immediately, and keeps the pet flea-free for a month till it's time to reapply. You will also need to wash pet bedding, and do a VERY thorough vacuuming of the whole house and any upholstered furniture...even removing cushions to get deep down into the furniture. Then take the vacuum OUTSIDE to remove bag or dirt cup, so you don't get any escapees in the house.
I have had these little black things that look like bugs. I have had bites and I can feel them on my feet and ankles. I know they're not bed bugs because I have had them before. I have been to every specialist there is.
I know they are real, but they want to blame everything on stress. My feet look horrible, but no one believes me because I am the only one getting bitten.I believe you have some kind of a bird mite. This happened to my niece in Boston. She had to have an exterminator.
It isn't the time of the year for no-see-ums because they normally come out in the hot weather. It sounds more like you have mites in your home. There are a few people who are allergic to these types of bugs and can be bitten from them where others won't be bitten at all.
One thing you can try to stop them from biting you is fresh mint oil. You can make your own version of homemade mint oil or you can try to find it at the store. The mint oil when applied to your skin will stop the bug from biting you. I use this here, on the islands for people who come to visit. They are always being bitten by mosquitoes and this stops the mosquitoes from biting them.
I would get your home sprayed for the mites and see if this will get rid of them.
For about a week now something has been biting my arms and legs at night. Not just in my bed, but on my couch. They bite more when the lights are off. I know it isn't bed bugs because I have experienced those before. I know where and what to look for to find those, and nothing has turned up.
Whatever it is can fly because it bites parts that aren't touching the furniture as well as those that are, and I never feel a crawling sensation. I have noticed small flying insects around the house. Mostly just a few fruit flies or drain flies that I have been killing off.
But, there have been a few small, dark-winged bugs as well. They look like small flies, with a triangular shape when at rest. Aside from that, a small speck occasionally flies past my phone screen or laptop screen if the room is dark. It almost looks like a dust mote, but it moves quickly. I have yet to catch anything actually on me or my bed, but my legs and sometimes arms, end up covered in red welts similar to mosquito bites. I live in north Georgia, in a rural area. I am the only person being bitten thus far.
Small biting black dot bug that can fly. Not bed bugs and they jump.
Tiny black bugs in laundry, tiny shinny black bugs on couch, some are like colored sparkles, last lint like bugs in hair black, grey white the bugs also bite and i can fell them on me I have dry skin but sometimes even my cats won't eat their food unless i wipe down the food & bowls i feel the bites & what ever they are but worse at nite. some of the tiny black bugs look like cat dander but have almost invisible little hair or 2 Ifeel them on my anis & genitalia what could the possibly be & how can I get rid of them?
Looks like old hay beetles...if they are ..they used to live in haystack...under old leaves..in moist areas..
You are definitely not the only one! I'm glad to know that another Georgian is experiencing this! I was beginning to think i was insane.
So there are plenty of these very tiny, able to fly and bite, black bugs in my room whose bite is very itchy. I have sprayed mosquito and cockroach spray, but they are still coming and not going on food much.
How do I treat my skin and stop them from coming? These bugs are horrible and the bits are even worse. When they first bit use some apple cider vinegar on the bit. Put the vinegar on a cotton swab and allow it to sit on the bit for about 5 to 10 minutes. Now change the cotton and do it again. This will pull the poison out of the bit and allow it to heal quickly and stop itching. Now to keep them from hitting you get some mint oil and apply this to your skin.
We found a small group of bugs in our office, size is 1/4"very tiny like hair, they are moving too. They are at one of our glass counters. What can we do?

If you want to kill the bugs, use a bug spray in the area. May require more than one application if there are unhatched eggs.
I have had these little black bugs for what seems like years and they bite only me and are in the clothes. It seems like heat gets them going. I have thrown away most of my clothes. I vac every day and spray bug spray, but nothing helps. My husband and kids said I must be losing it. I know I'm not. Anyone out there have any ideas I can try? Please someone help.
This sounds like you have a bed bug problem. Bed bug also, live in your clothes, furniture, carpets, and bed. I would definitely call an exterminator to come to your home.
Normally, with bed bugs the high heat of a dryer will kill the bug. Also putting your clothes in plastic bags kills the bug.
If you are the only one being bit by the bug there is a solution to help you. This works on all types of bug bites. Make some fresh mint oil and apply it to your skin. This is very simple to make at home and doesn't cost a lot.
Buy a small bottle of inexpensive cooking oil and a small package of fresh mint at your store. In a blender, add the oil and break up the mint leaves and add them to the blender. Mix well until the oil has turned green. Pour the oil into a sauce pan and heat on your stove. You want to just heat the oil and not allow it to come to a boil. Afterwards, use a clean, white cloth and pour the oil into a bottle. The cloth will strain the tiny pieces of mint leaves.
Now you can apply this to your skin several times a day. This works well and it is what I use on the islands for the grandkids. They get bitten here and it is the only thing that keeps them from being bitten by the bugs here.
It is possible that you have bed bugs but if so, why are they biting only you? Do you sleep in a different room? Something is off here but I think you should concentrate on finding out for sure what kind of bug you are dealing with so you will be able to take proper steps to eliminate the problem.
You will have to trap several of the bugs (put sticky tape around if you cannot trap them any other way) and place them in a secure baggie and go ASAP to a pest exterminators office or your county extension service and ask your question. You can Google with your zip and find pest exterminators in your area and also your county extension service (your zip).
You can read some comments from past postings on ThriftyFun when you have a few minutes - at least you will find that you are not alone in this search for an answer.
I have these little black bugs very small in my clothes and I am very clean. I mean so clean you can eat off my floors, but this is out of control. They transfer from one piece to another. I have had pest control spray and coming tomorrow. Please help me out.

I recently moved to a older farm house out in the country. We moved in May 5th of this year. We were there a week and a half before ever actually getting bitten by these things. They are small black bugs that are needle point in size. I have had pest control come out several times and they make me feel that something is wrong with me and that they can't ever find anything.
Pest control has even told me that I should seek medical attention and that I may have scabies or body lice, etc. I have been to the doctor twice and they said I have neither. But the same pest control place we are or were using is making me feel like I'm losing my mind, when I'm not. My husband and daughter are getting bitten also, but my two sons that stay upstairs never say anything about something biting them.
Now on the other hand we have a cat and whatever these things are they're tearing her up. She pulls chunks of fur out cuz she's scratching so badly I have also taken both my cat and dog to the vet and they have no fleas. So I'm hoping by doing this someone can help us before we have to move.
I have done a lot of research myself and the only thing I can think of is bird mites. I live in Indiana and not all pest companies know anything about bird mites. We live on 4 acres of land and whatever is in the inside is also on the outside as well. Please someone help. I feel like my life has been taken over by these bugs we have to eat and drink with Saran Wrap on our cups and plates, etc.
I have uploaded the things that I have found in our home. I realize there is a few different pictures of bugs and one pic is of what looks like maybe eggs or something. They were around our fish tank on the outside of the tank.
Just wondering if anyone can help.
Spotted these tiny bugs around my windowsill and wondering what they are and how I can get rid. Almost certain they are not bed bugs as I have checked in and around my bed and bedding and I can not see any signs of them being there.
We had a chair on our porch that really was an indoor chair. I sat in it a few months ago, came into the house and felt all these bites and could see tiny blood spots. I immediately took a shower and that seemed to resolve the situation. I also threw out the chair that was on the porch.
Around the same time I had put a couch cushion outside to dry. It got left outside and that night it rained. I left it out to dry. When I finally brought it in, it was on the couch maybe 2 days. Then when I threw out the chair, I threw out the cushion as well since they were both out there at the same time.
I do not get constant biting. This last attack I believe was from me opening the couch and vacuuming. It stirred them up. If I leave the house the biting ceases and really only occurs if I have been sitting on my couch. I have picked them up, and they continue to bite. I can feel them crawling on my skin, face, and body. The ones I have caught look like black pepper flakes that are shiny or like a clear skin color that's kind of blobby. They do not break when I try to slice it with my fingernail.
The bites do not turn into bumps. The area becomes red or I see tiny blood spots. They are not fleas or bed bugs. I am noticing I'm getting more strawberries on my skin. Strawberries being the small pink spots on your skin that are often raised from the skin. I thought I was going insane till I found this site and saw a lot of others dealing with this. I believe they're some type of mite and bought Kleen Green in hopes that will work. More than likely I'll just throw out my couch.
Does anyone know exactly what they are or been successful with getting rid of them? I'd just like to talk to someone about this because it's driving me nuts and my husband thinks it's a big joke. My son who's not even 2 is getting bitten as well and that's the worst part.
I have recently been seeing these little black dots on my skin. They bite maybe because I feel the pain. My skin gets red and swells a little. It doesn't last very long though. These dots are really small. I went to the doctor after treating with permethrin cream head to toe and threw away or bagged and washed all clothes and rugs. I got an air mattress also and threw old out my old one.
I explained to the doctor what I had experienced and after a few days of treating with permethrin I get bit again. I'm so upset and emotional over this no one believes me and the doctor said they can't treat me for something they can't see. While I was in the doctor's office I didn't have any bites.
I try and catch them to save the bugs or mites and they're so little it looks like a spec of nothing. Everyone thinks I'm crazy but I'm not. They are black dots or tiny red specs that burn like fire when they bite me. My boyfriend has also been bitten. Please give advice. Oh also, I have been scratching and picking. I have scabs because they itch and I feel like the bite might be causing a reaction. They have also gotten in my scalp on my hair in a few places. When I comb through my hair with a lice comb little white stuff and black dots are seen and every so often a small red thing.
