Treating a Bug Bite on Your Eye Lid

Category Advice

Bug bites can be a nuisance anywhere on your body, but the eyelid is a particularly annoying place to have one. Treating a bug bite on your eye lid isn't as easy as on other places, but it should still be kept clean and not irritated by touching or rubbing it.

There's a limit to what you can put on your eyelids, as they are very delicate, when I have had allergic itchy reactions, I have used health food store Calendula gel & very cold black iced tea also works to relieve swelling.

Use ice in a washcloth to help take down swelling and itch. Take some Benadryl to help also.

I did a search for you and a doctor told someone to do this:

Apply Benadryl cream or generic with cortizone in it. Use ice, put in a facecloth and hold for awhile to relieve swelling. (07/15/2010)
